Local history retained the memory of brothers Fernando Leon and Juan Castillo due to the fact they designed Puerto de la Luz, the port which pertains to the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Thus, the memorial house which bears their name is valuable not only as edifice which honors their remembrance, but also by force of the fact the building as such has managed to preserve until now the original Gothic style arches.
